Diabetic with poor control , under HES for bilateral Eyelea injections tends to go for 3 and then a 10 week gap but then has to start again

Left handed and left eye dominant .

Bilateral cataract , no significant macular oedema but evidence of macula stretching in the past. Lines appear distorted.

Makes violins at multiple distances from close  , 30cm when it is in a vice and then at 50 cm when he is working on the strings.

He has 3 places he works on the violin, Office , Workshop and at his daughters some 60 miles away and wants to be able to see detail in all places.

Also wants to read sheet music at 75 – 95 cm while playing the violin~!
Avid reader but tires and gets frustrated as he has to hold close with his varifocals and in bed not getting on well.

Has a mac book and Iphone (not made any changes to the accessibility ) has no VI apps presently

VA R 6/38 eccentric slow and picking letters

L  6/15 just   Near N8 with +3.50 holding 24 cm (left eye right sometimes closes)

R+1.25/-2.00 x 70  L +1.50/-2.50 x 130   Varifocals with +3.50 add ou

Px mobility good , previously a marathon runner but has problems now with controlling Diabetes. Vision can fluctuate and he is aware this could be the insulin levels.

We need a resolve for the Violin , both playing and working on.
Need to help if possible with the reading side of things
